I miss you

I miss you
Though why I should remember you now
I don’t know why
But I miss you
your constant nagging
your blue mug
and the way you like your coffee
the stubbornness you wear
and how your face radiates
a thousand ideas
I tried to paint them all
but I could not
they were too many for my frail hand
instead i etched you in my mind
i studied you and tucked away
some of your philosophy when i ran away
now i realized you only wanted the best for me
and now i wish i still had you to shield me
protected from the outside
shut from all Others
I wish SOMETIMES I still had you.
