I cannot
by Green Man
Age Group: Adult
I cannot rewind the tape
It is my fate
To wait
To look inside and take
The pain with pride
Or go insane with this ride
I run to escape
The taste of hate
The emotional rape
Slowly taking shape
A waste... so fake
Total outcast
Is it for the best
Is it?
The past...
A test to my soul, my will
Become the cruel and kill
The fuel of love with steel
I cannot retrace my steps
So should I embrace the depths
And face what lies under my skin
Blood roaring like thunder within
Paper thin dreams soaring
And under the flood of surrender
My heart is dying, sick with sin...
