Lonely King.

Lonely King.
For so long I knew
My heart would live all alone
A solitary and stolid king
Sitting by an empty throne
I’d watch the world
From ornamented throne
And wish for the love
Others had been shown
So many times I’d list
All of me that was wrong
I wasn’t brave, I couldn’t fight
And I’d listen to my sad song
But then you came to me
The girl with the red hair
Who didn’t care what I was
As long as I was there
And so many times I’d ask
Of my graceful lady fair
“Why do you love me?”
“Why do you care?”
You said there was something
In my touch on your long hair
In the way I held you
And how I showed you care
And I felt so happy
Everything I wanted was there
My heart tied to a woman
Graceful, elegant and fair
And I know I’ve been hard
To love from time to time
So I’ll say I’m sorry hun
In this little rhyme
And I will be there for you
This King will ever hold your hand
While we dance in the moonlight
Or walk a beaches sand.
And I sit happy on that throne
As you will sit on yours
And the lands of sorrow, love
Are now far distant shores…
