The Watcher - A poem about bullying.

The Watcher
He watches what he never had
As the children, happy, play
His mind slides back through his past
When fun was far away
Parents see only the smiles
As their darling child plays
They don’t see the spiteful torture
That lasts days & days & days
At least back they had to find you
To coldly inflict their pain
Now every message or every call
Can bring the fear again
And some who were the target
Saw death as their only way
Yet those whose actions killed them
They always walk free away
Those little rubber wristbands
Cant make the bullies pay
They cannot stop the torture
As self-esteem is torn away
We must stand firm and together
Bring this into the light
Make sure that the stories are known
So bullies cannot hide from sight
And someday when the task is over
And the bully’s day is long done
All of this worlds children
Can walk safe in the school day sun

At least when I went to school people couldnt bully you by mobile phone!
There are so many teens and children whose lives are blighted by this. It blights adult lives as well. Worst of all it is responsible for people ending their own lives because they cant see a way out past parents who just wont see it happening or schools that either dont care or in some cases actually condone the abuse.
Its my personal opinion that all suicides caused directly by bullying should not be treated as such. They should be treated as murder. That is, after all, what they are.
I know there are people on here who have been bullied and that there are people undergoing that right now.
There are places that can help you and show you that your life is worth as much as any other person.
I'll give you some advice that a close friend gave me...
I do not care HOW tough it gets OR how depressed you are...You will
NOT do anything to end your life....GOT IT? Good.
