Farewell my soulmate

I have always longed for you my love
but said it all too late
for now I'm buried 'neath the trees
my name is carved in slate
I'm dancing in the summerlands
the boatman brought me here
The land where there is always green
and stars shine out so clear
I left you far behind my love
and still I long for you
'neath all the lies
my mask
my guise
my love for you rang true
Why not join me in this land
and dance forever more?
or were those tears false my love?
those crystals on the floor
Did you really mourn for me?
or even care at all?
I knew you never loved me
I knew you never cared
But still I sat and thought of you
I should have never dared
I knew those dreams were falsehoods
Those hopes sham and a lie
I just wish I could've told you
So youd've held me while I died
