The Pain Rages On

The Pain Rages On
Tell me when it will go away?
This pain that is there ever day,
They say this is merely part of what you see,
The illusion that is me, a speck within infinity.
I feel I know that, which is soon to be gone,
I do, I do and the pain of the loss goes on,
That which is to come will dissolve me away,
Do I run, no I wait and in the illusion, pray.
I know in a blink of an eye,
I will say, what was that, who was I?
Until that time the pain is real,
It pulls apart my heart, when will it heal?
And yet within that radiance I find,
A flickering beyond the mind,
And suddenly I become aware,
Of that which really isn’t there?
And as I notice through the eyes,
They are not mine, I hear my cries,
And soon I think that I will know,
There comes a time when I will go.
But until then the pain rages on,
And it will not, will not, go away.

Author's Notes: written a few weeks ago when those around me were waking up. i am now within a feeling of peace though the process of dissolution goes on.
