Amber Eyes

I see them in my sleep
I see them in my dreams
These great amber eyes of yours
Unbroken love-light beams
I see them in the forest
I see them in the trees
These great big amber eyes of yours
They make me feel free
I see them in the sunlight
I see them in the stars
These great big amber eyes of yours
…Trapped behind those bars
Author's Notes: I wrote this after seeing the tigers in Paignton zoo. I thought it was disgusting how they had such a small space to live in when in the wild they would be able to roam for miles. They looked bored out their minds and I really feel for them.
