Brown hair that crosses the great divide,
Of definite colours in the light,
Confuse the eyes that lie outside,
Black or Brown? Shining bright.
Even colour hair you see,
When compared to colours within his eye,
For fixed his hair shall always be,
But colour of eye will change for me.
Now brown when happy, blue when sad,
Then grey for when he’s cold,
For fixed eye colour he’s never had,
But beauty he does hold.
Like flower petals his skin be,
Soft and gentle for my touch,
And although himself he does not see,
I love him oh so much,
Yes it’s true, love I’m in,
And grateful I am to,
For loves plight of deepest sin,
In words reveal to you…
No walls or time have come between,
No problem we have faced,
We’ve kept on going for time unseen,
With ugliness and grace.
Can’t hold us down, for love we share,
And love shall always grow,
For parents bounds and evil glare,
Shall stop us, never, no!
How can I say these words you speak?
Well answer I give to you,
Even though our past be one of bleak,
Our future is that of new!
Author's Notes: This was a poem about one of my ex's. I wrote this as a teenager (a common theme you'll find with all the poems on witchvox) .. It's weird looking back on it now (2012) , we're not together anymore (obviously - teenage love, pah) ! But we are really good friends, I'll have to show him this and see what he thinks hehehehe :P
