The World Now

Age Group: Adult
She ran through vast abundant trees,
A paradise she’d found
Yet on the unspoiled beauty,
Her feet made not a sound.
Though she walked the earth alone
She felt no pain, as such,
When given this great planet,
And the Goddess’ gentle touch,
She felt her days grow weary
And repetitive as drones
But when her children born to her,
‘came wizened as our Crones.
Her children felt no duty
To the land that they had got
So into darkness plunged it,
And in wilderness forgot.
Now the way is open,
The door has ‘gain been found
But what of all the joy
The goddess’ sowed in the ground?
Where have all the women gone?
No maids to spread the joy,
No mothers waiting at the hearth
No crones, just lots of boys.
The day of Venus cometh
The dawn of women’s near
The men should go in hiding
Lest the women they shall fear.
