Reflection

In a darkened mirror
A haunting image passes you
You stop in confusion
Was it true, or an illusion?
That girl with the long hair
Wait, she’s no longer there
Did you see her tear stained face?
Her dark and dismal stare?
Was it your imagining?
Or was she really there?
In a pool of liquid night,
You saw her once more,
More ragged then the last time
When again the bell did chime?
The likeness is uncanny,
Like the time again she came
Is it your imagining,
Or are you both the same?
