alone in the woods

Alone she walks, awake yet not, through the mists to her favourite place, a circle clearing in the middle of the woods, she knows not why she is there, nor why she relates to the place, but she does, she feels safe.
She sits on the ground, fresh with the morning dew, a breeze in the air seems to warm when it should chill.
Her eyes close and she breathes, there is nothing within her mind but her own breath.
Her hands fall to the floor and as she lays back, roots emerge form her body and descend into the earth. Deeper and deeper until she is the earth itself.
A feeling of power washes over her as all the negative energy within is absorbed and replaced by light.
Her roots gently retract until she is once again herself, whole and pure.
She stands and breathes.
Alone she smiles and walks into the mist.
Author's Notes: a nice little poem that came to me after a dream, it is based around a method of meditation and grounding! i hope you all enjoy please get in touch with comments
