Green Eyes

She sat on the soft grass,
Staring at the flowers,
Oblivious to all around her,
Thinking only of her lover.
She walked through the forest,
To the waterfall in the clearing,
And there she twisted and twirled,
Unknowingly watched by green eyes.
She stopped so suddenly,
Turning around as she did,
And there green eyes stood,
Expressing his praise.
A blush arose her pale face,
Her head turned to one side,
His hand reached out to touch her cheek,
Turning her head to face him.
He leaned in slowly,
Time had stopped for her,
And there they stood silently,
In each others arms.
Author's Notes: This is about one of my best friends, Darra whom I will always cherish as a friend and I hope she finds her 'green eyes', either that or the colour of her choice...
