She stood amongst the flowers,
Her curls framing her slender face,
She stood amongst the blossom trees,
Her spirit glowing with unique grace.
She turned to her left and reached to up the sky,
Dancing light of emerald and jade,
Power flowing through her veins,
Wind rushing through the glades.
She turned to her right, the colours vibrant in her mind,
Her life a painting of the soul, true and precious inside.
Spirit tuned to an unknown melody,
The voice you cannot hide.
She radiates energy and life, all around her feel at ease,
There’s no mountain or obstacle she cannot climb,
Her smile shining like the sun, full of warmth and care,
Her love is never-ending, a true friend till the end of time.
Author's Notes: This is about another close friend of mine, Bláthnaid who is just as this poem describes, a true friend till the end of time.
This is also co-written by my dear friend, Darra, to whom I am eternally grateful.
