The Unlucky Fate of the Princess

A castle once stood,
Shrouded in the mist,
Tall and proud,
So beautifully moonlit.
Inside was a princess,
Standing on the balcony,
Wishing like all princesses do,
About her charming prince.
But her prince would never come,
He’d died a painful death!
He was eaten by a dragon,
Skewered to bits.
She mourned forever more,
Until her dying day,
For where the castle once stood,
Was now an empty plain.
So now you’ve heard the tale,
Of the unlucky fate of the princess,
Pay attention to my words,
As not all fairy tales end in happiness.
Author's Notes: I was thinking in my french lesson, where surprisingly enough we were talking in french, about a castle and fairy tales. So I thought I'd be mean and skewer the prince. XD he he he.
