Unfair

All who’ve walked upon this earth
Will tell you it’s not fair.
There are no friends that last for long
Not a soul who truly cares
If you’ve fallen in love
With someone close to you
He’ll run off with another
And break your heart in two.
If you let it consume you,
You’ll only sink and drown
So keep your head above it.
And you won’t be pulled down
Yes there’s war and suffering
As there has always been
But there is too the torment
And the suffering unseen
And though you never hear the words,
We both know they are there
The words are never spoken,
But life is just unfair
