Father where are you?

Father
Where are you?
I can’t see you any more
You live just minutes away
But it may as well be hours
The void that has grown between us
Since you left
Left with her
The one you love more than me
It is though you are empty
When I am so full
Of pain and terror
Threatening to sweep me away
In a torrent of suffering
You never call me
You never come to see me
Why must it be me?
That makes every effort
To spend time with you
Time that we may not have much of
I am growing up quickly
Be with me while you can
Please
Don’t leave me again
Mother does not need you
But I still do
Only you are never there
Well let me tell you this
One day I won’t be there too.
