My Dark Angel

I see you in my waking
I see you in my dreams
I see you when I’m most afraid
I see you when I scream
You’re always there to help me,
You hold me when I’m down
You dowsed the burning fires
And you saved me when I drowned
Are you from my conscious?
Or are you from my soul
Are you even human?
Or a demon not quite whole
Why is it you never change?
Or age as others do
Why is it people cannot see?
The savior that is you.
Why did you just disappear?
And leave without a trace
I’ve searched the world from end to end
And I haven’t ‘gain seen your face
Where have you gone now?
I’m here without a soul
How can you just leave me?
When it’s you who makes me whole.
