Beautiful Wasteland

Standing on the edge of the world,
Hands dug deep into my pockets,
Blue, grey sky nothing else stretching for miles.
The calm bleak, blissfully alone.
Thin, bare trees, twist into nothingness.
Smokey air floats across the shallow lake.
Peacefully desolate, a fresh breeze coats my skin.
Always winter, always twilight.
Eerie silence, only the sound of thoughts echo.
I'm on the bridge, staring out at my imagination
My beautiful wasteland where only I exist.
