Bloodstained Snow

Blade slicing through untainted snow,
Copper scented droplets freeze under the glow,
Of soft, cold light and paint the ground,
Silent screams echo never to be found,
Or heard by human ear, a pain that was never felt,
Streams of blood lie upon the ice that will never melt.
The secret war remains hidden under the frozen trees,
New snowflakes cover the scent of death but there will always be,
Bloodstained snow and spoiled flesh heroes to the last,
Stories untold, battles of old that stay forever in the past.
