The Dream

The Dream
It came in a dream
Wise grandmother called me.
Her hair long and white
Her face wrinkled and calm.
She walked away from me,
beckoning, calling me to follow.
But who is she this crone?
This one who wants my life.
Some say Hecate the dark mother.
Others Kali-ma the dread one.
So shall she have me this one
who fills me so with dread.
But then I look upon her face,
both stern and kind.
Dread is replaced with desire to be
all that this wise one requires.
