To Friends...

Everything is dark
with the flames upon my candles out.
This weight upon my heart
prevents me driving all my problems out
Nothing rhymes and nothing sings
Nothing dances wild with colour
No more vibrant times are seen
no more bloom comes from this flower
These besetting mists
fall down choking life with its frost
A silence falls around you
No comfort when your warmth is lost
Yet hope is found and it is strong
in the holly and the fir tree
The sunlight and the robins song
Dance with joy and energy
So when dusk comes
make your feast take time to rest.
Should you feel sorrow come
Be with who makes you laugh and jest
Forever keep heart forever hold true
Bad times you shan't always see
In some you find your never alone
And while you have them blessed you'll be.
Author's Notes: Written in the space of about an hour, it basically started off because of bad news and i started playing around with words, but as i always say, the bad times don't last forever and i started to think of the good things i have, which is why it ends on an up point, i wouldn't have posted it if it didn't to be honest.
Anyway, hope its okay, i don't know if its a song or a poem really, owing to the fact i wrote it loosely around a tune from one of the songs my friend Chenoa kindly gave to me when i first met her.
