The Hagstone

The Hagstone
I found a Hagstone in a stream while walking through a wood.
I put it in my pocket and used it when I could,
Dreaming of a doorway that took me to the oldest wood.
I followed the winding path, that led
to a secret meeting place.
I met the Lord and Lady there who greeted me with love.
Both dressed in shades of Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter evergreen.
The Lady had a triple crown. The Lord antlers of the stag Both wore the torc of authority.
I stood there naked as a new born babe unashamed nothing to hide
Skyclad.
They took my measure and put it in their bag made of flax, I took the oath and signed my name in wax, witnessed by the Lord and Lady and elders of the hood.
I thanked them with the following words, Flag, Flax, Fodder, Frigg,
if you know not their meaning, may you have a roof over your head, clothes on your back, food in your belly, and love in your heart. then I did depart.
