Salve for blind eyes

Age Group: Adult
Our eyes are blinded by the constant stream of
hateful images that assail them,
every waking moment,
from the oracle of doom that lurks,
in the corner of the room like a monster
waiting to pounce, and force more images
of hate and bigotry on our already overloaded senses.
But there is a salve for eyes blinded
by tears of frustration
What is this wondrous balm? I hear you ask.
And the answer is simple it is beauty.
Bath your eyes with things of wonder,
Loose yourself in the beauty of a spider’s web
that glistens in the early morning light.
Overload your eyes with the colour of the tapestry
of the sunrise and sunset each day brings.
And most important of all these things.
Let your eyes be blinded by the majesty and grandeur
that Gaia still offers us in a daily orgy of giving.
