Ride a white horse

Age Group: Adult
A white horse stands guard over the chalk downs
Carved into the fabric of the land.
No ordinary horse is this, long and sleek
Its what a horse is not what it appears to be
Ride me it says in my shamanic dream.
The only strange thing is that it does not seem at all Strange but the most natural thing to do.
And what a ride it is.
No thoroughbred stallion could compare to the
speed and grace my white companion shows.
It leaves me exhilarated, breathless and laughing
For sheer joy. But most of all connected.
To the land beneath its hooves
To the wind rushing through its mane.
Most of all to the spirit that runs through all creation.
Then in a flash of inspiration I realise what
I had been grasping at for so long
This is what it means to be a Shaman
And dreamer of dreams.
