Red or Blue

Age Group: Adult
If you were Pagan and had to choose
If to vote Red or to vote Blue
Would you go for Gordon Brown
The man with the perpetual frown?
Or would Cameron make your day
Even though he seems miles away?
Vote for the man who seems good with money?
Vote for the man who is Family's honey?
Perhaps you may choose to vote Lib Dem
For Menzies Campbell and all them.
Even though they will never win
Or even make the opposition seem thin.
Vote for UKIP or the BNP?
(You must be kidding, not me, not me.)
Or waste your vote, so it seems
Toss out the main three and vote Green?
Instead maybe I'll take my pardon
And try to see while in my garden.
If there will ever be
An election in the next week or three.
Meditate upon my vote
That keeps our democracy afloat.
Shall I vote for Labour who seem to money grab
Or the Tories with too much gab?
Vote for Gordon, the man of ice
Or vote for Dave who seems too nice?
In fact if you'll take my pardon
I think I'll just meditate in my garden.
For an election would be a forgone conclusion
Due to apathy and much confusion.
Brown would get in, right now any day
And the Tories would toss 'Call Me Dave' away.
So if you were a Pagan and had to choose
Would you vote Red or vote Blue who'd lose.
Author's Notes: Okay, at this writing I don't know whether Brown will call an election yet but the speculation hasn't ceased. The election system over here isn't very fair overall with Brown being able to call an election whenever he wants to providing Labour's current term doesn't go over five years and four weeks. It kind of makes me think how I would vote if I was a realistic Pagan because although by reverance for nature and the environment I would vote Green, realistically you can only vote for candidates that stand in your constituency and realistically the only way Labour MP for Bradford South Gerry Sutcliffe is going out is if he retires. (Excuse my cynicism but it's true.) Jupiter and Juno help our country.
