Nightmare Halloween

by Moonlight Wolf
 Age Group: Adult

Boys and girls of every age Would you like to see something strange? Come with us and you will see The mangle-ing of Halloween.
This is Halloween. This is Halloween. Fundies scream in the dead of night This is Halloween. Everybody makes a scene. Trick or treat, keep your tracts out of sight. In this town, everbody cringe. Stoppping all the kids on a candy binge.
"I am the fundie coming up to your school Here to protest about the occult made cool."
"I am the doctor all covered in wealth Don't trick or treat it's bad for your health."
This is Halloween. This is Halloween. Halloween. Halloween. Halloween. Halloween
In this time we call home. Everyone hail to the PC song.
In this time, don't we love it now. Everyone's waiting for the next complaint.
Check that costumed man Dumped out in the trash can More tatter than you've ever seen Red and black and PC green. Aren't you scared?
"Well that's just fine. We've said it once and said it twice. Halloween is just not nice It makes fun of Wiccans and the moon at night."
Everbody scream, everybody scream. At the mangle-ing of Halloween.
"I am the police at a tearaway pace. Catching the yobs who've gone without a trace."
"I am the who when you call who's there. I am offence taker in the air."
"I am the shadow of the school at night. Pushing your dreams of fun out of sight."
This is Halloween. This the Halloween Halloween. Halloween. Halloween. Halloween.
PC killjoys everywhere, Life's no fun without a good scare. That's the point, but it's not mean So everyone love Halloween.
It's our time, don't we love it now. Everyone's waiting for the next complaint.
The spirit of fun will catch you in the back. You'll scream like a banshee. So go carve a pumpkin straight from a pumpkin patch And then you'll see.
In this time, we call home. Please no longer hail to the PC song.
Author's Notes: Yes this is based off of the opening song to 'The Nightmare Before Christmas'. I just wanted to highlight the affect that being overly concerned about Halloween can really mess up the holiday for the young and young at heart.
Obviously there is the fundie bit and there are some Witches, Pagans and Wiccans who take offence to Halloween as well as those who complain about its commercialism. Then there are the hoodlams who've highjacked the trick or treating part meaning that parents are too worried to let their kids out. On top of that there are schools that no longer have Halloween parties or even acknowledge the festival. The school I went to never did, and that was in the nineties.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy it, even if it is a bit tongue in cheek.
