Anam Clannad*

I am alone in this life.
No Anam Cara
to share with me
my days, thoughts,
hopes or dreams.
Life a cold round of work,
sleep and more work.
A treadmill that keeps
on turning and grinding
my life, till all is dust.
But in my mortal round
I forget you,
my Anam Clannad.
My soul family, you who
make my life worthwhile,
and full of joy and peace.
You support me with your love
lifting me on angels wings.
You let me be myself and
share my life with you
asking nothing in return.
So yes as of yet there is
no Anam Cara for me
but what I have in you
is greater by far my
soul family my
Anam Clannad
