Ethereal (Part 1) Faye

by Moonlight Wolf
 Age Group: Adult

Come gather around to hear this tale. That took place in a fantasy world. I'll take you now to the humblest town. The small forest town of Karmia.
Karmia had a resident with it's border The shy but kind young Faye. Who left her tiny house in a tight blue gown Worn and weary of the day.
All the day she had cooked and cleaned For her mother was unable. Her father bullied her until she wept "Do this, do it right, do as I tell you to."
From dawn until dusk she toiled at home. Her father was on her back. Her hands were raw, her feet did ache. But still she had to care for them all. She had to cook breakfast She ate the last Before cleaning the house Doing the laundry Mending her fathers shoes Fetching water Fetching wood Scrubbing Polishing Until she became too tired Her father would whip her "You useless wretch. "I raise you and I feed you And this is your lazy thanks?" Her mother just wept for her daughter For she too was under his thumb. So all the day she toiled.
It was such a relief to get away When the working day was over. For when all her chores were done Faye liked to visit her favourite spot A clearing in the forest. 'Twas known as the Power Haunt.
In this clearing there was but a stone Tall and green, shining in light. Surrounded by many wild flowers. Rough to the touch but proudly stood Watching the woods. This stone had whethered hundreds of years Of wind, rain and snow. However still it stood, it had not worn away It was for this that Faye came.
She wandered away from her tiny abode Where her father was sat grumbling. She set down the stone path Her tan hair flowing down her poor back. Faye waved to all those who greeted her. For to speak for her was to blush.
Her heart felt heavy. There were tears in her eyes. A lump had formed in her throat. The many blows that she had recieved Bruised both her body and soul.
She trembled on step by step Looking at the soft grass she stepped on. The daisies in it were blooming All bright in yellow and white.
Yet still she continued on. Wishing in her heart for change How much longer could her father Beat and bully her, Treat her like his slave.
But now was escape from her life To the Power Haunt Where she could rest.
A well worn path snaked Through the area towards the Haunt It passed by a giant and great house. This was the house of the town's lord. Old, jovial Lord Karmia.
His house was well kept It towered over the rest. Built well, maintained well. Faye took a quick look.
She saw how the maids Had finished their daily chores. They laughed and cheered But mumbled and whispered For Lord Karmia had company.
As Faye began to move on. The door of the house flew open! Faye jumped in surprise (Well not much surprise) It was her friend Kathy stood there.
Author's Notes: Me and my whacky imagination. This will probably get stranger as I go on. Yes there is more to come... >=) This will probably become to the point of being almost epic in proportions.
At least if you don't like this one, you don't have to read the next parts.
I would however recommend you read them as this is only the first part of a very long story. More characters will be introduced.
