Sacred or Profane

What is sacred and what is profane
Is the lofty cathedral sacred
and the Oak wood profane
Is God only found in bricks and stone.
Is there some invisible line drawn
between what is holy
and the day to day round
the casual hum drum of existence.
God is everywhere. even in a house of stone
if that is what you believe.
But He is also in the cathedral of nature
in the house built of wood and leaf.
He is to be found in a book that has
no words or dogma between its covers.
This book is not bound with fine leather
but with stones, water, wood and air.
So all is sacred and nothing profane.
God is everywhere and in everything.
Grandfather sky and Grandmother earth.
So I bow before it all as all is holy.
