Ethereal (Part 4) The Dream Comes True

by Moonlight Wolf

Age Group: Adult

And so the two ladies entered the pub
Where Killian was pondering his dream.
Trixie bounced up and greeted them
Followed by Will and then Seamus.
Killian however remained in his seat.

They all together walked over to him
And gathered around to speak.

"Today I promised you." Kathy began
"To get Faye to show us all
Her special secret place
That she visits to gather her strength."

The group gathered around Faye
To listen to her description.
"It is a green stone in the forest
It is known as the Power Haunt."

That was all they got out
For Faye was of very few words.
She felt very uneasy inside the pub
With alcahol oozing in the air.
There were many people here
So she could not bring herself
To say much.

Kathy laughed good naturedly
Then spotted a couple of young drunkards.
(At this Killian held his breath.)
She took some mincing steps over to them
And greeted them both warmly.
Next she complimented them on their looks
And before long she did what she did best.

Will and Trixie laughed out loud
Seamus simply watched in anticipation.
What havoc would Kathy wreak upon these two men
Who were too drunk to know any better.

One suddenly got down on his knee
And let out a loud proposal.
The other immediately pushed him aside
And the two at once began to brawl.

Killian stood back and watched
For this was familiar to him.
Seamus rushed over
On seeing his troubled face
But the next thing he knew
Killian pushed him to the floor
For a glass had been thrown near his head.

The barman came out to quell the fuss
But it is sad to say he had little luck.
The drunken brawl had now become too violent
So the six decided to flee.

They were breathless but definately safe
And could hear the shouts and crashes within.
Kathy then let out a laugh of relief.

"Oh Kathy." Faye began
"You should not have done that."
But Kathy merely laughed at it all.
Seamus then stepped in.
"It was not very clever to flirt with those men
For there was too much booze in their brain.
Kathy merely laughed out once again
Until Will chastised her more firmly.

"You fooled those men." He cried.
Yet Kathy simply pointed out
"Those men were the fools
To think I was serious.
Had they been sober..."

Will cut her off to see Faye's anxious face.
That was when Trixie stepped in.
"Come on people." Was her emphatic cry.
"Let Faye lead us to her Haunt
For the light will soon be fast fading.
She has limited time to herself."
So Faye led on along the forest path to where her Haunt awaited.
However Seamus sneaked a quick look at Killian
Who seemed so quiet and in shock.

"Why are you troubled?" He asked him.
Killian simply looked at him seemingly afraid.
"I fear that we are heading to an evil place."
He said with a tremor in his voice.
Trixie overheard and burst out laughing.
"Faye hasn't a mean bone in her body.
How can she be leading us to evil?"

Killian then went and described his dream
And told them about the Holy Guide
About the premonition that had come with it.
"This guide who came to me showed me the future
I foresaw the scene in the pub.
It wants to lead us to a better world
And to not listen may be to doom us all."

However his friends simply looked at him
With the look of a sceptic.
They feared their friend was quite ill
And not like his usual self.
Killian the rational and kind,
Killian the cheerful and good willed
Had turned into a preacher overnight.

They simply decided to see the Haunt
To decide whether or not it was evil
So as to know why Faye loved it so.

And off to the Haunt on a forest path
To see their friends special place
They walked together
And wondered in baited breath.

Author's Notes: Part 4 is here with the bar fight, the flirting and the other friends showing up a bit. You can probably guess what's coming in part 5 but I won't spoil it for you. That is if you plan to read part 5, coming next week. (Hopefully)
