Ethereal (Part 10) Seamus's Perspective

by Moonlight Wolf
 Age Group: Adult

There was a knock Upon Seamus's door. When Seamus answered There Killian stood.
He looked to be Full of cheer But Seamus had a feeling That it wouldn't be A joke he would share.
"The Holy Guide Spoke to me again." Killian said. "It told me to go On a pilgrimage To purify myself And to send out The Holy Guide's message In order to prevent The violence and suffering That is to come."
Now had Seamus been Will, He would have made Some scathing and cynical Remark about illusionary dreams But Seamus was More polite than that.
"Did you dream this last night?" He asked, staying calm And rather skeptical.
"No, it was yesterday In the woods. I left the Haunt and The Holy Guide spoke Right there as I was leaving.
"It said that the voice Was a deceitful spirit And led people to Suffer in their own worlds."
"It said Faye had Forsaken the path that It had shown her To be lost in a world Of illusion."
Seamus looked at His friend, whom he'd Known a long time. He wondered how It had come to this.
"Do you say that Faye is gullible? Do you say that She has not thought?" He asked.
"Yes." Killian replied. "That spirit in the woods Is nothing but evil. The Holy Guide told me so."
"Faye draws her strength From an evil place So in turn she will Become evil."
Seamus stopped Killian right there "What has all of this got to do with me?"
Killian looked at him Feeling slightly flushed.
"I am sorry for rambling. Please Seamus, Will you join me on my pilgrimage?"
Seamus stood up And looked Killian in the eyes.
"What visions has this Holy Guide given you, Apart from the one in the pub?"
Killian then went on to describe The fact he had seen Karmia on fire With a silouetted figure Against the blaze. He had seen fights In the gaps between the houses He had seen death on every corner. To describe the vision was To see it once more In his mind.
Seamus listened intently And Killian described it so well That Seamus could see it In his mind.
Then Seamus really did see it.
He caught his breath And calmed himself.
"You see." Killian said. "That is what will happen If we do not take this pilgrimage."
Now Seamus did not deny That there was some truth In the vision. Yet he was not willing to believe That following the Holy Guide Would prevent it. He was to keep an open mind Of how to prevent the violence He had seen.
This did not pass his lips. For he knew by the look In Killian's eyes told him That so say this Would waste his breath.
Seamus did not want The violence to come to pass Any more than Killian did. He also knew that Killian Would not leave until A yes was heard. As the two were friends He agreed to go on the journey.
Killian thanked him And gave him a great hug.
"You will not regret this." Were Killian's words Before he left and headed Towards Kathy's house To try and get her to come.
However Seamus simply Sighed and whispered "In the years to come I will look back on this day And say to myself 'Had I but known...'"
And so he sat down To ponder what Gate he had opened By agreeing to Killian's journey.
Author's Notes: Told you they would come in at a more frequent pace. Part 10, hope this part isn't too much of a bore for you. I wanted to give you a bit on insight into Seamus's character considering he hasn't really been much of a stand out.
