Ethereal (Part 19) Healing

by Moonlight Wolf
 Age Group: Adult

To Faye Jared Hallows was gloomy It had too little light Yet here she was.
Unable to hear the Holy Guide She had been brought here. Yet she was surprised to see Will.
"Why have you been brought here?" She asked him, Wondering what he'd done.
"I came here by myself." Was Will's reply. "I decided to go on a journey. And this is what I found."
Before she knew what she was saying Faye asked an incredible question.
"Did you have a fight With your fiancee Grissie."
Will looked at her in surprise And then nodded.
Grissie was a jealous And terribly spoiled woman. Faye wondered why Will liked her. Then again in a way Her cynicism equally matched his.
The two of them wandered By the Hallows Lake And Faye just took a peek. There she saw them all. Killian, leading the group. Kathy, with love on her mind. Seamus, ever watchful But Trixie...
Faye had never seen Trixie In such a terrible state. She had trouble walking And was stumbling everywhere. Her hair was limp And stuck out all over. Dark circles stuck out under Her now dull and frightened eyes.
Trixie was clearly distressed And to see her in a way Distressed Faye very much.
The old woman who Had been in the Hallows Since she'd been a child Came up to them Seeing Faye upset.
"I see my friend Trixie And she looks a terrible sight. She is normally so loud And often cheerful. What could be wrong?" Faye mumbled Feeling nervous in a strange place.
Although the woman Could not see into the lake She knew what had happened.
"That is the work of the Holy Guide It has given her distress And is making her ill. What is this Trixie like."
Will spoke up and simply said. "Loud and often irreverent. I think she ticked off Killian And the Holy Guide One too many times."
The old woman Sadly shook her head. "Only obedience will Get rid of that curse." Will of course fell over Clutching his sides with laughter. "That will never happen."
However Faye knew this too And she decided she must help For Trixie was her friend And had a very strong spirit.
Because she could not Simply watch her friend whither She opened her mouth to speak.
"Please help me heal her Or she will be cursed forever. Trixie will never blindly submit And it is not right that she should suffer. Please help me heal her."
For Faye had in her mind's eye An image of the Power Haunt. While it was not in Jared Hallows Faye still felt its comforting aura And wanted to pass it to Trixie.
However the people Who had now gathered Seeing the distress, Shook their heads and refused.
"What if we are caught? What will happen to us? What will the Holy Guide do? Our lives will get worse."
Will decided to stand up For Trixie was his friend too. He knew that it had taken lots of courage For Faye to speak out like that.
"The Holy Guide Will not affect you." Was what he said. "That is why you are here In the first place As it cannot control you And so it cannot harm you."
But one man stepped forward "Although the Holy Guide Cannot do anything to us, The servants of the Holy Guide Can do all they wish with us As soon as it commands them."
However Will would not be Out argued by anyone. His stubbornness he'd brought With him all the way from Karmia.
"How many servants are there Compared to the people Who are trapped here? Are there not more prisoners Than silly puppet servants In Jared Hallows?"
The prisoners nodded.
"Is there not a woman Who is in terrible distress Who if helped can counter The fear generated by the Holy Guide. For Trixie is not one to bow down, She is one to stand up. Should she be helped?"
The prisoners nodded again.
"Do we not want to stop The Holy Guide's reign of terror Upon Jared Hallows And on other places too?"
And the prisoners were All up in agreement. They turned to Faye And asked her what to do.
They gathered around the lake And focused on feeling happy. Many thought of home Their lives before Jared Hallows. Lives that were once happy and carefree.
Will thought of Grissie How much he wanted to apologise For being rude to her And how happy he would be As soon as he married her. He pictured the day When the wedding would take place And all of Karmia would celebrate.
Faye thought of the Power Haunt Reminding herself of how It had given her strength On the worst of days And passed her feelings On to Trixie Who needed them most now.
Faye looked in the lake And saw Trixie change. She had settled down to sleep And was now in peace With the dreams in her head.
"It worked!" She cried But the servants had seen And marched down to the lake Grabbing who they could, Tying people up. All around the lake were arrested.
Although they did not Know how Will got there, They didn't care He must be an enemy So they arrested him as well.
Author's Notes: Long part this time. Expect more Trixie remarks in the future. A submissive Trixie is no fun.
