Ethereal (Part 25) Planning

Though the servants
Were trying to watch
The inmates all the time,
There were not enough
Of them to watch always
So eventually, they all fell asleep.
At that point the inmates
Scrambled together
To plan their escape,
To avoid execution
And to finger the Holy Guide.
However one lady of thirty
Warned them
That the servants could
Wake up at any time.
Therefore they could
Only a small group could gather
And they would have to be quiet
So as to avoid suspicion.
So Will, Faye and about six others
Met in the darkest part of
The horrid Jared Hallows
To discuss their plan for
Escaping their deaths.
"I know the way out
Will began.
"It is a tunnel
Just beyond the gate
That is how we will escape."
"But how will we
Escape the servants
To free ourselves?" Asked Faye
Feeling very afraid.
"As we await execution
We will all group together."
One man said.
"As I have been here
For over forty years
I know that despite their devotion
To the Holy Guide
They are all a bit lazy
And will appreciate not
Having to gather us all up."
Will nodded his approval.
"And when we are all together
We will ambush them
For there may be
Twenty of them
But there are more of us."
The plan was approved
And they all decided to spread
The word to the other inmates.
But they had very limited time
And there were many people to tell.
The servants were waking
And it was time to resume
The hard drudgery of Jared Hallows.
Before Will and Faye parted
He said to her.
"Think of the Power Haunt."
And so the plan was spread
Sometimes to individuals
Sometimes to small groups
But all tried to avoid the servants
For having them know
Would spoil everything.
Faye tried to share the strength
Drawn from thinking
Of the Power Haunt
With the other inmates.
She did this silently
Not wanting to incur
The wrath of the servants
It seemed to work.
Inmates tried to keep their work
Down to a minimum
In order to save their strength
Some hid themselves
So they could catch some rest.
Some stole food from the servants
To keep their strength.
Soon all were focused
And preparing for
The revolt in Jared Hallows.
Author's Notes: Somewhat short but still here to give you a clue what is going on. Hopefully this isn't too craptastic a part.
