Ethereal (Part 30) Revolution

by Moonlight Wolf
 Age Group: Adult

Death Day had arrived In Jared Hallows.
The servants arose With one thing on their minds Today they would see All the inmates die And they would be free To reach the outside world And do the work Of the Holy Guide.
The inmates however Were all hidden Waiting for the servants To pass by To reach the lake Where a gibbet would be built To hang each inmate And a fire would be started To burn each body So there would be no overload.
Will was with the first group Ready to attack the servants To distract them long enough For Faye's group to take the Shackles and the chains Intended for them And then use them To keep the servants bound.
The servants arose And gathered their equipment To deal with those Whom they saw as nothing But vermin and scum That had rejected the Holy Guide.
The inmates were in position Ready to complete What was to be their liberation.
The servants arrived at the lake But before they could Go and search for anyone to hang Will's group sprang From some rocks And beat them down Using sticks, rocks Anything that could Be used as a weapon.
The servants were distracted And terribly outnumbered. They had no chance against Will who had tactically planned it all.
As they were lost In a flurry of confused fighting Faye's group sprang out. They gathered up shackles They gathered up chains Some of which had been dropped Some were snatched from hands.
Soon Faye and her group had shackled All of the servants who moaned And threatened them With the wrath of the Holy Guide.
"The Holy Guide Has commanded us all To kill every last one of you. We shall give his every wish In full glee in the knowledge That all those who reject The word of the Holy Guide Will perish."
Will simply laughed at them "Try doing that shackled And while we are free. You could not possibly kill us."
Then there were whisperings Some into Will's ear.
"Good suggestion." He called out. "Let's do to them As they would have done to us. Let's kill them all."
However one voice spoke out This was none other than Faye Who would have been forst in line Had there not been a revolution.
"We should not do it For that is how the Holy Guide works." She said.
Many nodded at this And decided to change their minds.
"The Holy Guide cares For us, its servants." The servants cried.
"Not really." Said Will. "For it did not protect you From its enemies. It is either not omniscient Or it does not care for you at all."
Then he paced up and down. "Although I would love To see you all suffer. Faye is my friend And I respect her voice. It is true that the Holy Guide demands blood So what difference does it make If I demand it also? I certainly don't want to Be that miserable spirit."
All the liberated nodded And gathered food for the servants They left them there Imprisoned, not dead And wondering why This turn of events came about.
The now liberated people Of Jared Hallows Headed for the gates Following Will Who knew the way out.
They cheered They danced In a merry parade to freedom
Yet Will and Faye Were not merry For they knew only Half of the problem was solved.
They still had the matter of Killian And his obsession With the Holy Guide. They had to think Of what to do next And help their friends.
Author's Notes: Will the bloodthirsty. Well I hope this revolution wasn't too anticlimatic. The real stuff however is getting close. Keep reading.
