Ethereal (Part 31) Freedom

Age Group: Adult
Out of the gates,
To freedom!
The former inmates
Of the horrid Hallows
Cheered to be free.
Will led them
Through the gates
That had once been
A sign of imprisonment
Dread and fear were gone
And it was time to celebrate.
A parade went
Through that awful arch
As the people went on
To reach the surface again.
Will marched on proudly
Glad to be leading this parade
(But then again
He would be glad to
Lead absolutely anything)
For he was leading
These people who
Had been prisoners,
Some all their lives
To their own freedom.
The tunnel to the surface
Loomed before them
And they all held their breath.
Will stepped aside
And allowed them all
To go past him.
Faye who took up the rear
Asked Will if by any chance
Someone would get lost
But Will shook his head
For there was only one path
Through that tunnel.
Inside was still the same
And all the people carried on
Upwards to the surface
Excited and filled with joy
Tears in their eyes
But Will and Faye held back.
Killian was on their minds
What had become of
Their friends whom
They had known since childhood.
As Will went up behind Faye
He noticed something,
The wall were becoming blank
As Faye passed them.
The praises to the Holy Guide
Faded on her passing.
Light was ahead
The green door had been opened
And the people were rushing out
Desperate to see light again
Sunlight or moonlight
They did not care at all.
Will and Faye looked
Around themselves
Not quite believing they were free.
They were about to celebrate when
Faye had a horrid vision.
Karmia was on fire
And a silouetted figure
Stood cheering
Holding a bloodied sword.
Dead bodies were everywhere
And screams filled the air.
Faye was having exactly
The same vision Killian had
Had when the Holy Guide
Came to him in his sleep.
However Faye saw one thing
Killian had never seen.
It was where she had to go
A sea of calm and strength
In the midst of violence and chaos.
Faye saw the Power Haunt.
Author's Notes: Here we are at Part 31. This has just go on. More will come next time although I quite like this part myself.
