Ethereal (Part 35) Confrontation

Age Group: Adult
Trixie rushed around Karmia
Dodging the violence
And finding those
Who were hiding.
They were confused
And very frightened.
How could such a thing happen?
Trixie went to get
Some shovels and spades,
A few pitchforks and pokers,
Rakes and hoes
With knives and other blades
To try and fend off the horde.
She rushed and gathered
A mini army
Of Karmian villagers
Not too young or old
To defend themselves
And stop the Holy Guide.
The youngest and oldest
Went and hid in the cellars
To avoid the mob
That was killing without reservation.
Trixie knew that there
Would be much grief
Once this was all over.
The villagers
Who Trixie had gathered
Marched out with their weapons
Only to be met
By Killian
Looking cold and disapproving.
"So you confront me."
Trixie said.
"What do you have to say?
These people who knew you
And are filled with shock
That you would allow such acts
To take place in your home."
The villagers called out
To Killian in harsh words.
They told him what a brute
What a scoundrel he'd been
To bring violence to them.
Killian stood there
Looking calm but stressed.
"I simply do what
The Holy Guide has asked me to do."
This answer of course
Was not enough for Trixie.
"Are you fool enough
Not to question this?
Have you lost your own free will?"
Killian simply blinked
And let out a breath
"You know the consequences
For not obeying the Holy Guide."
"Forget the consequences
The Holy Guide will never
Break us down as
It has broken you."
Trixie said and her followers cheered.
"The Holy Guide
Simply delights in crushing spirits.
Look at yourself Killian,
See what you have become."
Killian looked worn
And he looked tired
As if the weight of
What had been placed
Upon his shoulders
Had turned him
To and old man
In a young man's body.
"Once this is over."
Killian said slowly
To think over his words.
"There shall be great hope
As there will be no more Faye
To rob people of the Holy Guide
No more Will
To betray us
And you shall go too
For stirring up and
Defying the Holy Guide's will."
Trixie simply laughed at him.
"Your Holy Guide
Simply depends on you
For its power."
"Faye robbed you of it."
Killian said.
"Now the Holy Guide
Will see you as an enemy.
Such an awful thing she has done."
"It was the best thing
Faye ever did for me
If she did it at all."
Trixie spouted.
"You lie." Cried Killian
"I am truthful." Trixie spoke.
"Your Guide is hardly a power.
I bet it could not even kill me
Without using you as its puppet
Or ordering a follower to do it."
The villager looked at her
Thinking that she was mad.
However Trixie was confident
That the Holy Guide
Could not possibly
Do anything to kill her
Without the use of another.
Killian simply summoned
The servants of the Holy Guide
And with his increasing anxiety
Ordered Trixie to be tied up.
Author's Notes: Alright getting there. Hope this is beginning to get more climatic. If not it shows I'm not that great with climaxes. There's still more though.
