Ethereal (Part 43) Epilogue

by Moonlight Wolf
 Age Group: Adult

Karmia eventually Was rebuilt and recovered. The people went back To the way of life That they knew best.
Seamus married A young girl he met A while after the funeral While Trixie married A former inmate of Jared Hallows.
Jared Hallows was changed It was no longer A horrible prison Built to keep The voices of dissent silent.
It had become a Normal but peaceful town. The tunnel to it had vanished And in its place was a large hill.
Will had married A lady of great wealth Who had heard of the violence And had brought money To help rebuild.
Kathy continued Her flirty ways for a while Before marrying A man who was similar to herself And who was sincere In his feelings to her.
Both Will and Kathy Had moved to Jared Hallows to leave The past behind them.
Both towns erected Memorials to remember Those who died. A special memorial Was erected for Killian and Faye.
They remembered Faye As a sweet young woman Who gently stood by Her beliefs and those she loved. They remembered Killian As a kind young man Whose naivety and gullibility Got the better of him. They were both seen As tragic.
The news had spread To other towns And each had Their own interpretation.
In the towns of Greiver and Lyle The Holy Guide had triumphed.
In Greiver Faye was a devil And Killian was a saviour.
In Lyle things were Not as exaggerated. Killian was a hero, Faye was his adversary.
In Mearl the Holy Guide Had no victory. They saw Faye as a Goddess And Killian as a devil instead.
Indeed there were So Many interpretations. What had passed In this poem Became folklore And a mythology Told differently.
But all knew one thing There had been a battle Of hearts and minds.
The End
