My Lady

My Lady
I hear her voice echoing in the mountain valleys
I feel her breath scented with the wildflowers of summer
I see her shadow fading as the cool night descends
I feel her passion towards her lover
She dances among the stars in an eternal round
She sings with wild abandon as the sun goes down
She carries the sword and spear with a warrior's ease
And laughs with creatures great and small in a time of peace
I honour my lady as together we watch the seasons wane
And from little lass to wise old woman I love her still the same.
