The Birch Lady

The Birch Lady
Naked in the silence she stands
As the wind caresses her limbs
Moonlight shining upon her skin
The night subject to her whims
The owl flies silently overhead
The wolf sits by her side
The stag has long since gone to sleep
And the hare has gone to hide
She sings sofly of summer's song
And sweet pleasures that it brings
The Birch Lady touches heaven's gate
Though she has not any wings
