The sweetness of summer steals softly into the night
As the delicate fronds of frost greet early dawn's light
The ruby hued, the golden songs, the captivating scent
Fade into autumn like two lovers spent
All seems so weary, a hush has fallen nigh
The fields and forests all seem to sigh
It is done, and what a glorious season passed
That now allows all to take their rest, at last
