Why am I so empty?

Why am I so empty?
There is no music in my soul,
No voice to sound my sorrow,
The emptiness within now fills with anger,
And I dread each tomorrow.
There is no light in this room,
In the deep recesses of my mind,
I gain no comfort within this realm,
My soul now distorted and unkind.
There is no breeze in the air,
No wind to wash away my fear,
And with nothing but the deadly calm,
I feel that I am barely here.
There’s nothing, just silence,
There’s nothing, just black,
There’s nothing, just stillness
Why am I so empty?
