Meditation in Motion
by Moonlight Wolf
Age Group: Adult
Clouds rushing above
Like a gathering to the east
The storm approaches
And the skies open their tears.
Mist billowing onto the path
Out into the road
Blowing past
Where the earth meets the sky
Spray from rain
Shoots out from wheels
Upwards into wisps
Splattering across black concrete.
Mighty hills plain but strong
Smooth surfaced like a carpet
Worn down by it's age
Undulating past the window
Watchful trees of many varieties
Birch, ash, pine, beech and oak
Huddled together by the motorway
Watching the endless traffic of forlorn land.
Docile sheep just laid in grass
Unaware of the endless rush
That goes on around them
Grazing, bleeting and resting.
Pouring rain the tears of the clouds
Splashing down upon fields to water
Roads to erode and on glass
To obscure our vision of outside
Filling rivers, calm but rushing
Blown along, surfaces rippled
Ever creeping up to the banks
Ever getting ready to burst
The howling wind
Echoing across the valleys and moors
Rushing through the woods
Blowing the grass, creating a sea.
A mighty combination
Mischevious, strong, powerful
Overhanging the day
Overflowing our travels.
Witness it
The full force that is
The earth and the sky
Surronding a country motorway
Surrounding our human constructions
Author's Notes: Just a little bit of Pagan thinking I was doing while going out on a trip today. As you can tell the weather was a little less than kind on us but it sure felt like something, let me tell you.
