The Siren's Teeth or the Love that Destroys

Age Group: Adult
She moves with grace through the night
Looking for men to ensnare
If you are but set in her sights
One look and she'll have you right there
From there you are helplessly bound
Given what no man can resist
No woman will match what he's found
Her soft touch and magical kiss
If your lips should ever meet hers
I'm afraid that then you are lost
You are trapped now under her curse
Like a flower trapped under the frost
She will wait like a big bird of prey
Ready for her tasty treat
She will take your life force away
You will lie dead at her feet.
Her voice sooths away all your tears
When you shall awake in the night
From dreams that fill you with fear
To taunt you brings her much delight
And on the night of the full moon
On that night your fate is but sealed
You know that your death shall soon
When the temptress's truth is revealed
Dainty hands shall twist into claws
To tear all away at your chest
On your heart she'll begin her great gnaw
In her palace you will always rest.
The only ones who can beat her
Are the ones that were robbed by she
In their sorrow and in their anger
In their vengence you shall be free.
Yet one more thing comes to pass
The spurned be made to be sad
With the death of this siren lass
Is but for your mind to go mad.
Author's Notes: This was a part of one of my personal prose projects. It was a poetical bit that I think works quite well given the figure of the Siren and how love can destroy. I haven't written anything dark in a while.
