Over my shoulder

I never realized when you watched over me,
You were the guide I felt beside me
But I never knew who you were,
My comfort in both joy and sorrow,
And lent me a hand when I needed it most,
Still there even when I thought you had vanished,
I am so lucky yet so ungrateful,
You are a true angel looking over my shoulder,
Your love and care unconditional and unchanging,
You hear my cries and respond,
So much more than a friend I am forever in your debt,
For you see I am so lucky with five guardian angels instead of one.
