The False Flame

What am I supposed to do?
Why's my message not getting through?
Do you take me for a fool?
You're a liar, I won't listen to you.
You go against all that you preach
And you think that you can teach.
Should I listen to your lying screech?
I'm not impressed by deceitful speech.
Your flame is but a false one.
Your passion is all a lie.
You say you stand for something
But you push that all aside.
Do you think I'll just believe
That your cause is worn upon your sleeve
When you show hypocrisy
My respect's all gone, you make me seeth
Every day you make me cry,
Throw my hands up screaming why.
When your ideals just pass you by
You will watch them rot and die.
You're flame is but a false one.
Your passion is all a lie.
You say you stand for something
But you push all that aside.
Claiming you're the hero
To the followers you desire.
Your words are hollow hogwash.
No fuel is in your fire.
You claim you love and claim you care
But I see nothing sincere there.
Your words leave your ideals bare
For all to see, ego of air.

Author's Notes: An attempt at song lyrics about hypocrisy. I had to get it off my chest after witnessing some major hypocrisy. After all hypocrisy is seen in all religions, there are even Pagans who are hypocrites. There are hypocrite politicians and hypocrite idealists who don't really believe in all they spout. Anyway enjoy this and blessed be.
