Haiku - Set 1 - My First Haiku's

The woodland tree falls
But nobody is near-by.
Does it make a sound?
~~~@~~@~~~
A tranquil stream flows
Under sweeping Birch branches.
It is calm, serene.
~~~@~~@~~~
The mighty Oak stands
Proud and tall in the forest,
Its spirit so strong.
Author's Notes: when i first started writing Haiku, i decided to condense a scentence i knew well into the rules of Haiku, this seemed like the easiest method of learning the form.
As it stands i find Haiku very easy, but the effects of writing it, and losing yourself in the thoughtfulness of creating it are certainly not lost. I very much enjoy this kind of writing.
