On the Stone Steps

Beyond, beyond, I see the sunrise,
Peace, dawn, are you forever out of my reach?
While blissful heads sleep,
I am pondering, thoughts ticking away,
May they soon consume me?
Black clouds paranoia blinds me,
As I stumble upon the stone steps,
Hands, whispers of once seraphs now demons,
Slowly unravel the final threads of my sanity,
Suffocate me in disbelief,
Drown me in despair,
And now the dawnis the dead of night,
Empty heads still sleeping,
My thoughts still ticking,
The stone steps to happiness
Now endless, unattainable.
