Like waves of calm you sweep over me,
Lifting the weight from off of my shoulders,
Helping me rise to the surface,
The sun illuminates my skin,
I feel alive,
Oh so alive,
And it seems for the very first time,
How can I deny that you truly are a miracle,
The key to so many doors I used to think were locked forever,
A twist of fate?
Or the work of the unknown?
All I know is that you are my divine intervention,
The first flower of spring,
Of what seems to have been the longest winter.
