When thy sinews of thy heart,
Are torn and twisted when we doth part,
Thou art my hearts desire,
And within thy breast burns a passionate fire.
When thine dreams are filled with your face,
I doth awake with thy cheeks,
covered in a teary lace.
Oh! How I wish my heart would find what it seeks.
When thine eyes doth meet yours,
Out of my mind flees all thoughts chores,
When I feel your presence draw near,
I wish you would hold me close, and whisper, sweet nothings in my ear.
When you walk towards me with such confidence,
I forget all cares and lose all common sense.
When your face is lit by your soft smile,
I wish I could lay in your arms for a while.
When you ask if we are more than friends
I cannot tell the truth without letting down my defense.
Though I wish to say yes with all my heart,
I cannot till you say your part.
When you look at me with questioning eyes,
All I do Is look to the skies,
And when you don't say what you think,
My heart can't help but sink.
When I think of us meeting in the days to come,
My heart doth begin to drum,
but when I see you in the flesh,
My cheeks must begin to blush.
Now you say "I LOVE YOU"
My thoughts of you are never few
When you speak with your heart
I never want us to part.
Author's Notes: Right! This is the biggest love poem of them all. I wrote this over a period of a few weeks and when I started it I still thought he would never be interested in a girl like me.
But as you can see, as the poem goes on things end with him saying I LOVE YOU.
Half way through the poem was when things began to change between us, the fifth verse was written after we both started to open up to each other and when I realised he was just as scared as me of opening up and telling me how he felt. Now we have both said what we think.
This poems was written straight from the heart and so I have named it after the one who inspired me to write most of my poems.
