Left Hand, Right Hand

L: In the shadows of the night
Underneath the sacred yew
We come to cause such fright
To rat and toad and shrew.
L: Chaos, dark, dischord
To shake you to the bone
In the name of our deathly Lord,
Seductress and bitter Crone
R: In the sunlight of the day
Beneath the sacred birch
We come in our merry ways
For the trodden and the hurt.
R: Order, light, amore
To warm you to the bone
In the name of our nice Lord
Sweet Maiden and kind Crone.
L: Carrions: raven and crow
R: Swan and snow white dove
Down Left or Right to go
For vengence or for love.
L: To conjure up our dead
To meet the dark shadow
To fill our foes with dread
Tread where mortals fear to go.
L: Channel anger and hurt
Dish out just rewards
We hex and we do curse
Screw the Threefold Law.
R: To aid all those who live
Our great potential's so
To friends we greatly give
What no mortal can ever know.
R: Channel our peace and love
To claim our just reward
Bless Earth and Sky above
Embrace the Threefold Law.
L: Viper, adder, snake
R: So misunderstood by foes
Left or Right to take
Which way do you choose to go.
L: By cold Water and chilling Air
By dank Earth and raging Fire
We take all that we dare
To obtain what we desire.
L:By the mightiest of raging storms
That come to maim and destroy
For we are both right and strong
Our mighty power's ahoy.
R: By clear Water and swirling Air
By fresh Earth and warming Fire
We give all that we care
To obtain all that we desire.
R: By the Sun so bright and so warm
By the Moon that fills us with joy
For we are both right and strong
Our mighty power's ahoy.
L: Piranha, water eel, shark
R: Dolphin, seahorse and whale
Choosing the light or the dark
Left or Right we shall sail.
L: Our foes fear all of our power
And persecution of us is rife
For we shall know more in an hour
Than they shall learn in their life.

L: Spider and maggot and worm
R: Rabbit and hedgehog and cow
We love all the power we earn
No matter which path we tread now.
Author's Notes: Just to be clear I'm not making fun of all Right Hand Pathers or all Left Hand Pathers. I'm just having a go at some of the attitudes those at the extreme ends of the scale. For example RHPers who think that being right gives them the right to think they should have power over others and LHPers who think that self empowerment makes them right and everyone else wrong.
